In Room 8 we are learning to write a setting,
Mr Weaver read a little example of a setting. Then we closed our eyes and visualised what our setting would look like. Straight away we went back to our desks and started drawing what we saw in our minds. Then we used our pictures to write about our setting. Then after we wrote our setting we checked our work, unlined and changed any errors, and finally we wrote it onto our art as our published piece of writing.
This is my setting description:
"One morning I got up early and went down to look at the beautiful view. There was a red sky and the green grass blowing in the wind. The flowers blooming. The sun was the best. It was a beautiful shade of yellow with a little bit of orange. It was a lovely view."

Wow Room 8 & Mr Weaver! Your class blog is really awesome! Love the colours you have chosen. Emma, I thought your description was great. Good use of adjectives. When I read it the words you chose painted a great picture in my head. Well done!
